Hi Mom,

How are you now?  Not a moment goes by that I don't think of you. I pray to God and speak to you through him in my prayers.  I know you can hear me.  It's just hard not being able to communicate with you anymore.  I think the hardest part for us not having you in our dialy lives in anymore and in our constant interaction.  There's an abundance of objects, memories that reminds us of you.  The orchids that was given for you when you passed away is still here, alive and well.  The flowers and other plants you planted in our front  and back yard, we thought it was impossible that they would survive, but somehow, they are blooming.  We even shared some to Beth and Eric and it's living well in their garden. 

Two or three times a week, we passed by the apartment to pick up the mail.  Dad is still in the Philippines.  I still see mail that is addressed to you.  I still feel your presence as I walk into your apartment.  I can still picture standing by the kitchen washing the dishes as we used to talk.  I can still picture you sitting by the desk that is in your bedroom.  The arrangement of picture collages and frames you have of us, Liz, Steph, Marty, Newt, Nancy, dad and the kids are a sight to see.  I can see the detail and effort you put in to collecting and arranging them.  It brings alot of sweet memories back and how wonderful and fortunate we are to have you as our mother and dear friend.  You were a rock in the family and the roots that hold us all together.  I love you mom.  I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and that we missed you so dearly.

Your birthday just past about a week 1/2 ago, you would have been 66.  I looked up to the heavens and wished you a Happy Birthday.  we would have love to have celebrated this birthday with you.  I'm sure the angels and the Lord have set forth this special day just for you and you all are having a wonderful time up there.

Mom,

It's been so hard to write down my thoughts and feelings lately. It's been so painful to think of you. Your birthday is coming up on the 22nd and I still can't believe you are really gone from us. I know I say it alot but it's so hard to believe. I dont' know why I can't accept it. Whenever I look at your pictures, my heart aches and hurts so bad and I feel so empty from missing you so much.

So many times I want to call you and hear your voice. The sound of your voice always gave me comfort. And I can always count on you being there, listening and praying for me.  I feel so alone in this world without you.

I asked Marty yesterday if you'll know me when I see you in heaven. I never imagined how much I would miss having you as my Mom. I never could bring myself to think about it for long because the thought of it was just unimaginable. Now my absolute worst nightmare has come true and I am living it every moment and everyday. It is so hard to live in this life without you. I miss you more and more each day and my sadness does not get better or less. The assurance of being with you again in heaven is the only thing that's keeping me going.

I love you Mom. I hope you know that and I hope you can see me from heaven.
